Surgery Information

Appointments

Due to the busy nature of the Surgery, it may not always be possible to see the Doctor of your choice. Should you wish to be seen by a particular Doctor, it is advisable to book an appointment well in advance. It is also necessary to pre-book appointments with the Practice Nurse at Daly’s Lane. Patients requiring routine blood tests should book appointments at least two weeks in advance.

Patients who require urgent attention are asked to contact the surgery ahead of their arrival, if possible.

Patients who are unable to keep, or need to change appointments are asked to ring the surgery in advance so the appointment can be offered to another patient.

While appointments generally run to time, there may be unavoidable delays occasionally. Emergency cases and sick children take priority. Your patience is appreciated on these occasions.

Out of hours

Patients requiring emergency treatment outside surgery hours  should contact SouthDoc on 1850 335 999.

Repeat Prescription Request

Please Note: Daly’s Lane Surgery is unable to accept prescription requests by telephone.

In order to provide a safe and efficient service for our patients, we would appreciate all requests for repeat prescriptions to be put in writing, and handed in to reception or emailed to the surgery. This policy applies to all patients, even if medications have not been changed.

A form for requesting a repeat prescription is available at our reception or by download.Because of the volume of requests we receive on a daily basis, we would appreciate as much notice as possible for repeat prescriptions.
